A Report

yup. a report of what's been happening recently in my life.

oh yah, I won SP's first ever Sudoku Challenge last year.

And now I'm in the finals of the Singapore Open Brand's Sudoku Challenge!!

-.-" Thought I wouldn't get in... Luckily I spotted a mistake just before I raised my flag, during the semi-finals... Abit paiseh that I left the hall first too...

Damn. The moment I saw the email, I got stunned for a few seconds before I shouted 'woohoo!!'. [the only other person in the house (my younger brother) was sleeping at that time, but I didn't wake him up. XP]

I got hospitalised about a week ago for kidney infection... Had very high fever, 39.3 degrees celsius mind you! Hence, I missed my mid-semester-tests (MSTs)... Will have to take them when I'm back at school. So, for now, I'm resting at home with my 18 day MC.

Things are...abit rocky between me and him... Nevermind... I won't say anything else. *small smile*

So the sudoku challenge finals huh? It'll be on 12th July at Vivocity. The event will start at 12pm. I'm expected to register at 11am.

According to the challengers handbook, there'll be 5 rounds in the finals. First 3 are playoffs, in which challengers will accumulate points. Then there's the knockout round, in which only 25 with the most points will enter. Lastly is the championship decider, in which only 5 from the previous 25 will enter.

Well, lets hope for the best!! *crosses fingers*

almost a month since i last posted. O.o

XP

Its been like . . .

. . . almost a month already?

O.o

No internet access at home . . .

. . . because the bill accumulate till so much and the internet will only be connected again after

paying the full sum.

Sigh.

XD

I'm now looking forward . . .

. . . to meet someone who's coming back from a 4-day cruise.

wah~~~ its been 4 days already . . . . far too long for my taste.

Hopefully, the guys will go with me to Vivocity to have today's Wednesday dinner.

*getting more hopeful*

Sigh.

Wah~~~ my reports are still not done . . .

Well, at least im done with the SPLA Camp 2007 a.k.a the 'Uguu...' Camp.

LOL.

Damn . . .

. . . planning the camp was damn tiring.

But then . . .

. . . because I planned most of the activities . . .

. . . I didnt really have to be there when they played it . . .

. . . gives me a chance to disappear here and there once in a while.

The camp turned out not being so organised . . .

. . . because the important people running it could not be found . . .

. . . they were not sure what to do.

Oh well . . . . its all done and over with.

Yippee!

I had some good memories of the camp.

=)

Well . . . . better get back to doing my report.

I'm doing it on Xavier's laptop so if he saw me doing this, he'd thought I'm done with my reports.

He went to have lunch with some of the other plamo guys you see.

Xavier, if you're reading this at any point of time, sorry . . .

Took advantage of being able to be online.

Too long never update my blog liao.

Better get back.

Talk to you all sometime . . . . next time . . .

E-learning week has finally come.

yup.

As I said, e-learning week is here. I have to log on to the e-learning site from the school website.

But too bad, since its the beginning of the e-learning week, the site lags due to too many students logging on at this point of time. It lags too much till the site takes ages to load. Looks like I'll either have to log in at the dead of the night, log on in the middle of this week or log on near the end of the week. Either way, its still bad. I hate my choices.

Hopefully, logging on in school would be slightly better since I intend to use the computer at the school library tomorrow. Lets just hope, shall we? :)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have a trip to the NEWater Visitor Centre on Wednesday, 23/05/07, at 4pm. The purpose of the trip is to get information for my Environmental Science report, which is due on the 11th week of school. We have to book times when we can come down to the centre, hence Jennifer helped me book a place for the trip online, just last week. Another purpose of going there instead of just finding information straight off the net (and lying that we went to the visitor centre), as proof, we have to take our picture in front of the visitor centre and use that as the cover page of our report. Nice huh.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Anyway, I just had a trial camp last Friday, 18/05/07, and Saturday, 19/05/07. I only had less that 4 hours of sleep that night. So when I reached home, I washed up abit, laid in bed and fell asleep instantly. I woke up for a few minutes at 10pm and slept again till 11am. XD haha. The guys were playing 'DOOM the boardgame' during the night, depriving me of enough sleep. Some didn't even sleep at all. LOL. Well, at least we did more planning on the nightwalk. The next morning, I woke up at 8am but the guys only woke up latest at 9 plus in the morning. Sigh... At least we played some of the morning/afternoon games. Everything ended at 11 plus. I took a shower at the Moberly Block and left elsewhere after that.

I watched 'Bridge to Terabithia' with some friends at Plaza Singapura. My friends gave it a 'WTF' rating sadly. Story was nice but the ending just sucks. With no plot whatsoever. At least, I got to watch it to know what it was about. :)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What a hectic day those two days were. But at least, I had fun. :) Thanks guys, for coming for the trial camp and helping me with the whole thing.

third week of school

yup.

it's now the third week of school.

today's wednesday, 2nd May 2007.

i'll be wearing an orange shirt, as my promise to the Orenji~Dan guys. XD

hope Xavier does too.

i'll be wearing my new army cargo pants as well. :)

hmm...

what should i talk about...

well, since it's already the third week of school, guess i should talk about the previous two weeks of school.

on the first week

i met Shimin [she's now my classmate], who used to be in my GEMs psychology class last semester. only knew that she was from my course [DBS] when we talked during the last GEMs class. nice coincidence. if not, we'd prob have been good friends last semester already. :)

Shimin introduced me to her good friends [Joni, Cheryl and Jennifer]. but too bad that Jennifer's in the next class. we only get to see her during the lectures and tutorials.

most of my classmates remained the same. only a few went to the cardiac class, as is the other class.

the cca drive on the first three days also went well. thanks to those that came by and helped with the preparations and managing of booth. :

response was good too.

on the second week

my practical classes started this week.

on monday, i had to fast from 9am to 3pm to prepare myself for my practical at 3pm. just so that i could get a proper hypoglycemia [low blood glucose level] reading. XP

i had to be pricked 6 times for the different times [0, 5, 10, 20, 30, 60 mins] in order to see if there's a change in my blood glucose level after consuming protein [egg white from 2 hard-boiled eggs]. i would have preferred to take in carbohydrates [2 pieces of bread] and glucose [glucose water, orange-flavoured], but definitely not fat [a scoop of butter]. yuck.

well, having Cheryl to prick me isn't that bad. i only got to prick her once since i'm one of the test subjects of the day. it was a funny and interesting experience. seeing ur own blood.

on thursday, i also had another practical where my partner was supposed to take my blood so that we could get a full blood cell count on the Coulter counter. i only did it once on Cheryl's right forth finger, she did it twice on my right third and forth finger. the blade didn't cut through properly on the third finger, while the blood just won't flow from my forth finger. in the end, my lecturer had to do it for me on my right second finger. after that was done, i had three plaster on my three fingers. Cheryl kept apologizing to me about it. i didn't mind much, a new experience where i had to bear pain and see blood during the whole practical class. we also prepared blood films in order to see our blood cells, platelets, etc under the microscope for our next practical class. :)

lectures also started proper on this week, even though some already started the previous week [1st week].

they're okay i guess. part and parcel of being in the second year. sigh...

most of my classes started at 8am and ended at 6pm this week.

was very tired when i reached home.

only had about at most 6 hours of sleep each day.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

well, i should be preparing to go to school now.

i have a lecture cum tutorial at 12pm later.

have to leave my house at 10.30am in order to reach there on time. :)

will remember to talk lots next time.

adieu~
